Top 2 Tuesday...Dream Rooms!

1. Kitchen Dream Rooms! I absolutely love kitchens and I love my own, but if I had to dream...my dream kitchen would look something like this. One day, I would love for my kitchen to have granite counter tops, an island, lots of dark wood cabinets with hardware {but I also love the idea of white or teal cabinets}, double cooking space, vintage inspired farmhouse sink, chest for fine china or nice dinnerware, gooseneck faucet, wine storage, and open floor plan. Wow, this quite extensive, but a girl can dream right?

2. Master Bathroom Dream Rooms! For my dream bathroom, I would simply love to have a large, jacuzzi style tube...large enough for two of course. ;) My dream bathroom would also have a large shower for two with stone or large tile, more cabinet space, and a vanity for moi!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is one of my favorite quotes/prayer/hymn, in light of St. Patrick's Day, that I wanted to share with you on this beautiful Thursday!

St. Patrick's Breastplate

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through the belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness
Of the Creator of Creation.
I arise today
Through the strength of Christ's birth with his baptism,
Through the strength of his crucifixion with his burial,
Through the strength of his resurrection with his ascension,
Through the strength of his descent for the judgment of Doom.
I arise today
Through the strength of the love of Cherubim,
In obedience of angels,
In the service of archangels,
In hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
In prayers of patriarchs,
In predictions of prophets,
In preaching of apostles,
In faith of confessors,
In innocence of holy virgins,
In deeds of righteous men.
I arise today
Through the strength of heaven:
Light of sun,
Radiance of moon,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of wind,
Depth of sea,
Stability of earth,
Firmness of rock.
I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me:
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me
From snares of devils,
From temptations of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
Afar and anear,
Alone and in multitude.
I summon today all these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel merciless power that may oppose my body and soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul.
Christ to shield me today
Against poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me abundance of reward.
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness,
Of the Creator of Creation.

I am loving that my Sis-in-Law and her family are coming to LV this weekend!

I am loving this bob and am considering chopping my hair off today!

I am loving these jungle themed nursery rooms! And no, I'm not pregnant, but it doesn't hurt to plan ahead. :)

I am loving our new series at REFUGE: How to Wreck Your Life. On Sunday we talked about lying and this verse hit home for me, "Simply let your 'yes' be 'yes,' and your 'no,' 'no'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." ~Matthew 5:37~

I am loving the book, A Woman After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George.

I am loving the beautiful weather!

I am loving my amazing and wonderful husband!

What are you loving on this wonderful Wednesday? Link up and join the fun!

G-Gold or Silver: I love silver! I hardly wear gold.

H-Height: I am around 5'1 or pretty dang short.

Q-Quote from a movie: One of my favorite movies is Zoolander! Here are some of my favorite quotes from the movie: " What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read...if they can't even fit inside the building?" Derek Zoolander
"Moisture is the essence of wetness and wetness is the essence of beauty." Derek Zoolander
"Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?" Derek Zoolander

T-Time you wake up: Between 8:30 and 9:00 AM.

W-What makes you run late: I usually like to be on time for things so I try not to run late. I guess if I had to say...oversleeping would make me run late!

X-Xrays you've had: I've had Xrays done many a time at the Dentist. I know this isn't an Xray, but I have had dozens of EEG's done when I was younger. I used to have Petit Mal Seizures, which is a form of Epilepsy. EEG's measure the electrical activity in your brain.

Y-Yummy food you make: I love to make anything Italian!
Z-Zoo animal: My favorite zoo animal would definitely have to be the Panda Bear! They're so cute!

Top 2 Tuesday...Relationships!

Top 2 Things I've Learned About Relationships/Marriage

  1. It's all about love & respect! "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." ~Ephesians 5:22-33~ It's clear to many, that men and women are different. Similarly, the way men and women feel loved are different as well. We can see this perfectly in Ephesians 5:22-33. In these verses, the husband feels most loved when he is respected by his wife. The wife feels loved when she is cared for by her husband. The husband is called to love his wife as Christ loved the church. Conversely, the wife is to submit to and respect her husband. Submit is not used here in a negative context. Submitting to your husband, is not out of force, but is an action done out of free will and love. Because the wife loves her husband, she will respect him, support him, follow him, thus allowing him to be head/leader of the marriage relationship/household. The husband's love for his wife makes it easier for the wife to respect her husband. In the same way, her respect for her husband makes it easier for him to love her. These verses have definitely shaped our marriage relationship. It's our model for what a healthy marriage relationship looks like. It's also a clear explanation as to why your "love-tank" may be running on empty.
  2. Never stop dating each other! One thing that I've learned about relationships, especially within marriages, is that dating each other should never stop. As you get older, have children, and life gets crazy, it's vital for husbands & wives to focus back on each other. Scheduling a date night once a week will help you to focus on your relationship, grow together, learn from each other, create new memories, and simply have fun with one another! Writing love letters, poems, creating date-night-ins, etc., can also show/remind your husband or wife just how much you love him or her. Your relationship with your husband or wife, is the second most important relationship in your life, the first being your relationship with Your Lord and Savior! The marriage relationship takes special care, work, and time for it to be healthy and strong!
